An article appearing in this journal last year predicted that a Society of Criminology with its own journal would be established in Australia in the near future. This prediction has now been verified with the creation of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Criminology on 24 th October 1967 and the publication of the first edition of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Criminology in March 1968.
