Acknowledgments
This book volume was a true team effort, and we have gratitude galore. We are grateful, first and foremost, to the many authors who contributed chapters to this volume. Their words, quite literally, make this monograph. Next, we are indebted to Larry Kramer and to the Hewlett Foundation for supporting both this volume and the spring 2023 convening at Stanford Law School, where many of the ideas that appear here were first discussed. We additionally want to convey our thanks to all of the 2023–24 Rhode Center Civil Justice Fellows who contributed their time and talent to this project, and particularly to Jess Lu and Graham Ambrose. Next, Brianne Holland-Stergar and Todd Venook were instrumental in turning these chapters into a coherent whole. And, last but certainly not least: We are ever grateful to the indefatigable Lucy Ricca, who runs the Rhode Center and is key to the Center’s output and success.
