IBN ‘ASĀKIR RECORDS biographies for. any, though not all. of the sacred figures in the qiṣās al-anbiyā' tradition, 43 of which are listed below. Ibn 'Asākir records biographies for 29 of these; another three can be found in Ibn Manẓūr's Mukhtaṣar. The remaining eleven are neither in TMD nor Ibn Manẓūr. Citations for TMD are included when available. The Ibn Manẓūr citation is given for the three that are found in Ibn Manẓūr but not TMD.
