Latin American and Caribbean education leaders begin Fellowship with HP and Cambridge to advance EdTech reform
27 senior education leaders from 14 Latin American and Caribbean countries have joined HP and Cambridge’s Fellowship aimed at strengthening digital transformation in education. The HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship brings education leaders together to explore how technology can be used more effectively and equitably to support schools.

About the HP Cambridge Partnership for Education EdTech Fellowship
The Fellowship is a five-month hybrid programme developed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment (Cambridge) in collaboration with HP Inc. It is designed exclusively for senior education leaders and policymakers, supporting them to lead digital innovation in their education systems. Fellows begin with facilitated weekly collaboration sessions and later attend a residential academy in Cambridge, UK.
Expanding to Latin America and the Caribbean
Now in its fifth edition, the Fellowship has previously supported leaders from Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Gulf. The Latin America and Caribbean intake includes participants from Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Jamaica, Mexico, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, and Uruguay.
Throughout the programme, Fellows work with international experts and peers to adapt evidence-based EdTech strategies to their local contexts. The Fellowship focuses on leadership development, coaching, and collaborative problem-solving. Participants are encouraged to address real-world challenges, from digital equity and infrastructure to teacher training and curriculum reform, using user-centred design principles.
Regional voices, global impact
Jane Mann, Managing Director of Partnership for Education at Cambridge, said:
We are thrilled to welcome our new Fellows, leaders who are harnessing technology to make learning more inclusive, effective and sustainable. Through this Fellowship, we will work together to apply evidence-based insights and navigate rapid innovation for a brighter, more equitable future.
Mayank Dhingra, Global Director of Education Business and Strategy at HP Inc., added:
The new EdTech Fellows bring fresh thinking and bold solutions to some of the region’s toughest education challenges. Their work will help expand access, build capacity, and create lasting impact for learners across the continent.
One of the Fellows to join the programme this month is Ana Úngari Dal Fabbro, Coordinator General for Technology and Innovation in Basic Education at Brazil’s Ministry of Education. Ana described the Fellowship as:
A rare and timely opportunity to critically engage with research on EdTech effectiveness. The programme’s blend of practical leadership development and regional collaboration is exactly what is needed to design impactful, evidence-based policies and support Brazil’s national initiatives.
Ana is joined by Agustín Porres, Regional Director at Fundación Varkey in Argentina, who said:
I am excited to join the Fellowship as it offers the opportunity to learn from a community of EdTech experts who are committed to transforming education through collaboration and innovation. The insights and frameworks I’ll gain will help close the digital capacity gap across the region.
The leaders from Latin America and the Caribbean join a growing global network of 75 Fellows from 38 countries, united by a shared mission to harness technology for inclusive, equitable and effective learning.
