Yiting Cai is a master’s student at Wuhan University in China, where she received her bachelor’s degree from the School of Information Management. Her research focuses on digital addiction and human–AI interaction, particularly the impact of generative AI on user behavior and experience.
Jia Tina Du is head of the School of Information and Communication Studies at Charles Sturt University. Her research explores human information behavior and emerging technologies. She has published more than 130 papers and received numerous awards, including the Australian Research Council DECRA, the Young Tall Poppy Science Award, and recognition as Australia’s field leader in Library & Information Science.
Dion Hoe-Lian Goh is a professor at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he is the Associate Chair for Graduate and Continuing Education in the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information. His major areas of research are in gamification techniques for shaping user perceptions and motivating behavior, mobile information sharing and seeking, and crowdsourcing.
Hang Guo is the co-founder and designer of Zhongxun. He is an expert in user experience and was the recipient of the Good Design Award (G-Mark) in 2017. The award recognized the conceptual unity between user, function, and machine learning technology in the design of Zhongxun. He received a Master of Science in Human–Computer Interaction from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
Qingyue Guo is a PhD candidate at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. Her research focuses on human–computer interaction in the context of artificial intelligence, employing a user-centered approach. She serves as an editor of Documentation, Information & Knowledge, a member of ASIS&T, and a reviewer for multiple academic journals.
Daqing He is a professor at the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems, School of Computing and Information at the University of Pittsburgh, and the director of the Information Retrieval, Integration and Synthesis (iRiS) lab. His research interests include natural language processing, information retrieval, adaptive systems, and data management. His research is supported by NSF, NIH, Amazon, DARPA, UPMC Enterprise, ALISE/OCLC, the University of Pittsburgh, and other agencies.
Nannan Huang is pursuing a PhD at RMIT University. Her research interests include bias in opinion summarization.
Zhuoren Jiang is a tenure-track assistant professor at the Department of Information Resources Management, School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University. He also serves as a consultant (visiting professor) of Alibaba DAMO Academy.
Yutian Jing is a PhD candidate in the School of Information Management at Nanjing University, China. Her research interests span human–computer interaction, user information behavior, and the management and utilization of online information resources.
Chei Sian Lee is a professor at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, where she is also the associate chair for faculty. She is actively involved in research on issues related to everyday human–computer interaction and everyday information practices that facilitate collaboration, learning, and social interactions. More broadly, her research focuses on designing and leveraging everyday digital technology and emerging AI innovations to influence behavior change for the benefit of the public good.
Xin Li is a professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) at Duke University and serves as the Associate Vice-Chancellor for Graduate Studies and Research at Duke Kunshan University. He received his PhD in ECE from Carnegie Mellon University in 2005. His research interests include integrated circuits, signal processing, and data analytics. He was the deputy editor-in-chief of IEEE TCAD. He was an associate editor of IEEE TCAD, IEEE TBME, ACM TODAES, IEEE D&T, and IET CPS. He was the general chair of ISVLSI and FAC. He received the NSF CAREER Award in 2012 and six Best Paper Awards from IEEE TCAD, DAC, ICCAD, and ISIC. He is a fellow of IEEE.
Zhuochun Li is a PhD student of information science at the School of Computing and Information, University of Pittsburgh. His research interests include natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning.
Shaobo Liang is an associate professor at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. His research interests include human–computer interaction, user information-seeking behavior, mobile search behavior, and cross-device search. He was supported by the Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by CAST. He served as a member of the ASIS&T Asia Chapter committee, a member of the iNext Group of iSchool AP, and an editorial member of Aslib Journal of Information Management. He has received multiple research grants, including from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
Kok Khiang Lim is a PhD candidate at the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. His research interests lie in the intersections between behavioral economics and informal online learning and incorporating data analytics to uncover trends and derive insights.
Xiaozhong Liu is an associate professor of Computer Science and Data Science at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He was previously an associate professor at the School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington. His research interests include natural language processing (NLP), text/graph mining, information retrieval/recommendation, metadata, and computational social science.
Yang Liu is an adjunct associate professor at Duke Kunshan University. He received his PhD from Michigan Technological University and did postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University and at Duke University. His research involves cyber-physical systems, smart manufacturing, renewable energy, and smart supply chain.
Zhimeng Luo is a PhD student of information science at the School of Computing and Information, University of Pittsburgh, and an affiliated researcher with the Information Retrieval, Integration and Synthesis (iRiS) lab at the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems. His research interests include natural language processing (NLP), information extraction, summarization, and their applications in health informatics.
Chenrui Shi is a master’s student at Wuhan University in China, where he received his bachelor’s degree from the School of Information Management. His research focuses on human–computer interaction, especially interactions with AI in public libraries.
Shijie Song is an associate professor at the Department of Marketing, Business School of Hohai University, China. His research focuses on information systems, human–computer interaction, and health informatics. His work has appeared in journals including Information Processing & Management, Internet Research, the Journal of Documentation, and the Journal of Medical Internet Research.
Guoye Sun is a PhD candidate at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University. Her research interests include human–computer interaction and user information behavior, with a particular focus on privacy in human–computer interaction.
Tan Tang is an assistant professor at the School of Art and Archaeology, Zhejiang University. He received his PhD at the College of Computer Science and Technology from Zhejiang University in 2021. His research interests include information visualization, visual analytics, and human–AI collaboration. He was a program community member of IEEE VIS, IEEE PacificVis, and ChinaVis. He received the Best Paper Honorable Mention Award from IEEE VIS 2021 and ChinaVis 2022.
Jiayu Wan is an associate professor at the Global Institute of Future Technology (GIFT), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU). He is also the executive director of the Future Battery Research Center of GIFT, SJTU. he obtained his PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park, under the supervision of Liangbing Hu, and did postdoctoral research at Stanford University, working with Professors Yi Cui and Zhenan Bao. His research interests are primarily energy storage, ultrafast synthesis, and their intersection with AI, and he has authored over 90 journal articles. He has been recognized among the Emerging Investigators or Rising Stars of the Journal of Materials Chemistry A (RSC), Energy & Fuels (ACS), and Green Chemistry (RSC), and was also selected for the Dorothy M. and Earl S. Hoffman Award by the American Vacuum Society.
Dan Wu is a professor at the School of Information Management, Wuhan University, and director of the Human–Computer Interaction and User Behavior Research Center, Wuhan University. She is the editor-in-chief of Aslib Journal of Information Management and has served as director at large of ASIS&T. Her research interests include human–computer interaction, user information behavior, information organization and retrieval, and smart libraries. She has received multiple research grants, including the National Key R&D Program of China, the National Social Science Fund Major Project, and the National Natural Science Foundation Major Research Program Project.
Qian Wu is an assistant professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Her research interest lies in human–computer interaction and computational sociology, exploring (1) the impact of linguistic cues on human–AI collaborations, (2) the psychological influences of visual cues, and (3) the methodological transformations and governance challenges in the digital era.
Bo Xie is a professor in the Schools of Nursing and Information at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests cover the design, implementation, and evaluation of eHealth interventions for older adults. She is a fellow of the Gerontological Society of America and has led federally funded interdisciplinary research on aging, health, and technology, with over 100 publications.
Xiuzhen Zhang is a professor of data science at RMIT University. Her research interests include data science and machine learning, text mining, and social media analysis. She has published extensively on these topics. Her research has been supported by the Australian Research Council, the Victoria state government, and industry partners.
Shuo Zhao is a senior research scientist at the Data Science Research Center, Duke Kunshan University. He received his PhD in Communication and Information Systems from the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2016. His research interests include deep learning, machine learning, and digital signal processing.
Yuxiang Chris Zhao is a professor in the School of Information Management at Nanjing University, China. His research centers on interdisciplinary studies related to human–computer interaction, health informatics, the social impact of emerging technologies, and digital humanities. He has been named in Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024 list. His recognitions include the ASIS&T Best Poster Award, iConference Best Poster Nomination Award, ESI Highly Cited Paper, and JASIST Highly Cited Paper. He is serving as Asia Chapter Chair (2024–2025) of ASIS&T.
Ning Zou is a PhD candidate in Library and Information Science at the School of Computing and Information, University of Pittsburgh, and an affiliated researcher with the Information Retrieval, Integration and Synthesis (iRiS) lab at the Department of Informatics and Networked Systems. Her research focuses on consumer health informatics and human–data interaction.
