The Editor-in-Chief and Publisher are retracting this article since it has been brought to our attention that the following figures are identical to figures in a publication by the same authors. Image G in Figure 4 [1] which is a TEM image of a spermatid, is identical to Image F in Figure 8 [2].

The following figures are also duplicated in article [1] itself. These duplicated images are representing cells from different experimental groups.

  • Figure 2. (B) [1] is identical to Figure 1 (B) [1]

  • Figure 2. (C) [1] is identical to Figure 1 (D) [1]

Articles referenced are:

  • [1] Ultrastructural study: in vitro and in vivo differentiation of mice spermatogonial stem cells,” authored by Zahra Bashiri, corresponding author Morteza Koruji, published in Zygote.

  • [2] In vitro production of mouse morphological sperm in artificial testis bioengineered by 3D printing of extracellular matrix,” authored by Zahra Bashiri, corresponding author Morteza Koruji, published in International Journal of Biological Macromolecules.

The authors were informed and requested a correction, but the Editor-in-Chief and Publisher have lost confidence in the integrity of the paper.
