Technical Applications of Nanocrystalune Materials

Abstract

After discussing various applications of nanocrystalline solids which are presently under development, this paper describes in more detail the potential use of nanocrystalline materials for the production of sodium chlorate, a paper bleaching agent. The technology and advantages of using nanocrystalline solids as cathode material for this electrochemical process are discussed. The paper concludes by presenting the world market and potential savings associated with the use of this new technology.
