Distinguishing the Larvae of Three Pupal Parasites of Argyresthia laricella Kft. (Lepidoptera, Yponomeutidae)1

In an earlier paper, Eidt and Sippell (1961) were unable to identify those parasites of Argyresthia laricella Kft. that died as larvae within the host pupae. These constituted over 40 per cent of all pupal parasites and were listed as unidentified pupal endoparasites. The object of this paper is to provide means of identifying dead larvae of the three known pupal endoparasites. It is my intention to continue to collect data on parasitism to study the interaction between the more important primary and secondary parasites and A. laricella.
