Computing

A high-quality computing education enables learners to seize opportunities created by advances in technology. It also enables economies to develop competitive digital industries. But how can you ensure your education system is enabling learners to gain the digital skills they’ll need for education, life and the labour market?

We will partner with you to help you develop a high-quality computing education that develops children’s understanding of computational thinking and the ethical and environmental risks of computing. Working with your local experts, we will co-create and implement a computing education programme that provides learners with the necessary skills to thrive in the digital world, fosters innovation and supports a thriving digital economy.

We will support you to ensure that the different elements of your education system are working together to improve learners’ computing skills. This may include developing an age-appropriate curriculum and assessments that meet your contextual requirements for computing knowledge and skills, together with up-to-date resources.  We will also help you develop teacher training programmes that support computational thinking, trial and error, and open-ended project learning.

We have extensive expertise and experience supporting the design of world-class computing programmes, including the first Computing GCSE in the UK and the IGCSE Computer Science. Using our experience, research from the University of Cambridge and our network of technology partners, we will help you develop a computing education programme that prepares your learners for the future and supports the growth of your digital economy.
