TVET
To nurture a diversity of skills that support your country’s vision for economic growth, the education system must offer pathways to meet the ambitions of every learner. Achieving this requires a cultural shift, so that Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) pathways are valued just as much as traditional academic routes.
We will work with you to identify current barriers to success, before creating a roadmap to improve the quality of your TVET pathways. Our work is always tailor-made, including the design and implementation of an effective curriculum and teacher training programme to help learners develop skills aligned with local and international labour market needs. We’ll also support you to review, design and implement TVET assessments in secondary and pre-tertiary contexts. Additionally, we will help you increase demand by facilitating stakeholder engagement to reduce negative perceptions of TVET.
We have wide-ranging expertise and experience in helping design and implement TVET programmes around the world. In Mauritius, we helped the national examinations syndicate to create a Higher School Professional Certificate, focusing on practical IT skills and work placements to bridge the skills gap for school leavers. We also partnered with the Egyptian government to enhance the relevance and quality of their national TVET system, designing a management skills capacity-building programme and an assessment model to validate programme delivery. In Namibia, Botswana, Eswatini and the Bahamas, we supported the government to develop vocational qualifications in Hospitality, Building Studies and Motor Mechanics, aligned to the standards of the Cambridge IGCSE.
Together, we can design and implement a programme to ensure your investment in TVET delivers the knowledge and skills needed to champion your country’s growth.
