Dr Chris Martin

Chris is a social anthropologist and education researcher, and is the Partnership's Lead Education Analyst.

Chris Martin

Chris's research has covered K-12 teaching and learning, vocational training and the economics of labour migration, education policy, peacebuilding education, and education in emergencies. His doctoral work focused on schooling and mobility in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, and he currently employs his training as both an ethnographer and data scientist to inform CPE’s commercial strategy and commitment to excellence in education development.

He has a range of experience working in the development sector, including e-healthcare, and with Cambridge has worked on education policy and implementation with ministries all over the world. His recent work for CPE includes working on the Learning Passport with UNICEF and Microsoft, for which he coordinated and was lead editor for the project’s research and recommendations.

Chris is a member of the Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement at the University of Cambridge, the European Association of Social Anthropologists, and the Comparative and International Education Society.
